All these premises and more are explored in Timepieces, a new collection of science fiction and fantasy short stories with a healthy dose of rhythmic poetry. With all the elaborate description familiar from Autumn Lin's novels, Timepieces explores the just-barely-unnatural, unearths the complexity within simplicity, and dives deep into the shadows of consciousness.

To Warm Frozen Fingers // A Short Story Collection by MidnightBeast1098

I like to write. As you may be able to tell. I haven't been very good at writing lately. As you may also have been able to tell. That's why I've decided to write a short story collection. The stories won't interlink, some may vary wildly and you might even wonder if they were written by the same person (the answer is yes). Overall, I'm aiming to write 23 stories, which was one per day for 23 days but I failed at that (*seethes* college work...) so now I'm just aiming to finish it before winter is over! The stories won't be very long - I'm only allowed to write for 10 minutes per story, just to get me going again (and literally warm my fingers, I get really really cold fingers for some reason) and the most I've ever written in that time is around 500 words. Beyond the Books by LeeraIvy

This book is a collection of short stories based off the characters and events set forth in my previous ACOTAR fanfictions. The short stories in this book are all scenes that were either mentioned or not depicted in the fanfictions themselves. From a simple conversation happening between two Filipina astronauts, to an individual confessing his true feelings to the person he loves, to a failed missing person's investigation and the lover searching for his whereabouts in the Philippines, to a story about the woeful memories surrounding a rabbit plushie in the United Kingdom; a conversation happening between people at night with a campfire, about spirits and passion, in Norway; to a dying animal's thoughts about the person that saved it, to the letters given to the person that matters to one's life, to a man trapped in a cursed town and more. The Visitors by lolaphoenix

This is a novella set in an alternate future where the current generation will be the last due to the impending Crash of the Milky Way with the Andromeda Galaxy where Earth is due to be destroyed. In this alternate future, the air quality is so poor that people no longer work for money and instead work for clean air. The Sensers are an elite group of people able to read the memory shifts that have been popping up across the Earth for 100s of years, pulling people into memories at random. Lin, one of the main characters, has an inconsistent talent for reading memory shifts. Meanwhile, his best friend and housemate Lin, is a Seer, a maligned group of people who claim to see aliens called The Visitors and can also read memory shifts. Lin and Janet happen upon a Visitor where the learn the truth about their reality, why it is the way it is, and embark on a journey with two Visitors - Amara and Bram - to see if they can stop the Crash.
