After the death of her aunt during the assassination of the President of New Europa, young Investigator Cheyenne Styx finds herself thrust into a conspiracy originating from sinister forces at work within Earths colonies on Mars and an extinct Martian civilization.
Cheyenne joins with Charisa, a shape shifting Synthiod and Lazarus, a re-animated scientist from the Old World in a race to uncover the darker side of Mars' secrets. Visiting Mars she encounters strange cults, a dark beast held in the Labyrinth's, the ethereal Jörmungandr and the strange space-time 'Extensivity' portal- all bound together in an eternities old plot of revenge.
Ultimately her search will lead to discovering her own, as yet unrealised powers and a pivotal role in determining the survival of all of humanity.

Seventy-four years has been long enough. The way of the infamous Hunger Games has been altered. No longer is every Gamemaker out to devise the worst means of torture and death for every tribute. No longer are the people of Panem outwardly tolerant of President Snow's murderous actions. Under the facade of a normal group of Gamemakers, several rebellious citizens have begun an experiment which, if it succeeds, will make use of technology both to rescue the tributes before they are dead and then deposit the brainwashed children back in time. They have to try it. No one knows what horrors future Hunger Games may bring, and the desperate rebels are willing to try anything. Meanwhile, in the mountainous regions of District 2, Cato Hadley and Clove Kentwell have trained their whole lives for the Games. Nevertheless, their ambitions change when they, without meaning to, find themselves in the Games together. They are both determined to win. But if they don't, what will happen to them? The brainwashed tributes who land in New York City know nothing of who they are or where they are from. They do not remember Panem, or the Games, or even their own names. Heresy, treachery, riots, thefts, murders and revolutions. A need to for order was introduced, and brought about the leader of Zykard and seven factions of ten people. A thousand years later theres a change. An outsider appears and seemingly becomes the new leader of Zykard, bringing more hardships with their hopes.
