Okay... So at first glance, this may seem like your basic teen romance novel. But I can tell you this story is so unlike the rest.

Skye Miller is your average teenage girl with a deep craving for adventure and her own love story - preferably with the messy haired, blue eyed drummer, Landon Reed, whom she has always not-so-secretly had a crush on. With a strong tendency to blend into the crowd and follow others, Skye has never been the girl to grab a guy's attention. That is up until one night when she accidentally defeats Landon as the long time champion of guitar hero. From that moment forward, things will never be the same for Skye, and she knows it.

But Skye's world is turned upside down when her old childhood friend, Jayden Young, returns home from New York after six years and they meet at a party without recognizing each other. A lot of things have changed since they were kids, and Skye finds herself being naturally pulled towards Jayden.

Skye realizes that it would be easy to let herself fall for Jayden and his goofy charm, but is easy really what she is looking for? Will she play it safe and be with Jayden, or will she admit her attraction to Landon and take on the ancient, perhaps impossible, task of taming the bad boy?

Set in Chicago, follow Skye's roller coaster ride of a journey through her senior year where she will break hearts, have her heart broken, and hopefully make it through to the other side.
