I close my eyes and take a deep breath, trying to calm myself down. It doesn't work. I just can't seem to contain my excitement.
I know how to act. Here, I am anything but a child. No matter if I want to scream aloud or not, this is hardly the time or place for such unbecoming behavior. I take another breath and turn around, watching the door behind me. If he is coming, he should be here soon.
All around me people are walking and talking amongst themselves. I feel as though I am a chameleon, invisible and blending into the grey chairs around me, but I know I am not. Everyone can see me.
I hear the high pitched squeal the door makes when it closes and turn around. He's here! I jump up and even though I would love nothing more than to run to him and jump in his arms- I calmly walk toward him, a wide smile taking residence on my face.
"Hi," He smiles when I'm close enough to hear him.
"Hi," I smile back and lean in for a hug.
