Momentary Pleasures

That all too familiar feeling of giddiness coiled deep inside him until it felt like his intestines were tied into knots. The sensation was akin to nausea; not in the sense of disgust, but from excitement. The likes of which Kirk only ever experienced when he was still using. He both despised and coveted that feeling, because he knew it could go one of two ways. Either he ignored it and threw up or he surrendered and gave into temptation just so he could feel something again. If only for a moment.
