Is it possible to fall in love with someone you've never met?

Conan Gray might be at the peak of his career but he has lost all hope for ever falling in love with someone. Everyone he feels attracted to is either not attracted to him, taken or over him. When he sits down in a cafe to watch people, specifically couples, he finds a journal left by some dude called Patrick. Being inside Patrick's mind is fascinating and he can't help but fall for the boy involuntarily. He is determined to find Patrick because in this world filled with 7 billion he feels like his ever after.
There's just one minor complication. Patrick has recently been deported to his very homophobic nation of Egypt.

For Patrick Adel, life was always hiding. Hiding from the police that his family was of illegal immigrants. Hiding from his conservative mother his sexuality. Introverted and shy, the only he enjoyed doing was writing in his journal and exploring what he could do with words. But he lost it somewhere in a country he believed was home and the only thing he wants is a second chance. At living and making things right himself.
