They say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, and if that's true then Aria Rhee is one of the strongest people she knows. Hell, she knows she is. She may look sweet and innocent on the outside but like her mother always told her, you can't judge a book by its cover. Join Aria, her adoptive brother, and her new family through the trials of trying to survive in a world they've never expected. And now, what does kill, only brings you back. Trigger warning: Blood, gore, violence, strong language, death of amazing characters, graphic language, possible future smut (I'll warn y'all if you'd like), and possible racial slurs. I don't remember much of what Merle says exactly in the later season so I can't tell you if this will happen or not. But honestly, this is based on The Walking Dead, if you guys didn't expect this then I don't know what to tell you... Also, I'm sorry I'm honestly horrible at descriptions... Daryl Dixon x fem OC Disclaimer: I do not own The Walking Dead and its characters, I only own Aria, her life and experiences, as well as the small changes her character makes to the show.

SHE LEARNED TO LICK THE KNIVES DIPPED IN POISON. Nothing was ever given to Rebekah Dixon on a damn silver platter. Everything that made up her core being was embedded in survival. Nobody was coming to save her like a damned princess locked in an ivory tower. Her life was in shambles the minute she was born to an alcoholic, abusive father. One brother half in and out of her life like clockwork every few weeks, juvie, jail, and the other brother who tried his damned best to shield her. Even if it was futile. He just kept coming and coming. Until he didn't. GLENN RHEE was just a pizza delivery boy swarming in debt, barely making ends meet when the rise of the dead began. Pizzas. A different kind of survival was embedded in who he was the moment he left the safe haven of Michigan and ventured to Macon. He knew the ins and outs of the city better than the mayor himself, probably, and that was the sole reason he survived the initial onslaught of the dead. His family was surely dead. All gone, wiped off the face of the earth as far as Glenn knew. When he met Rebekah, all Glenn could think was that maybe the end of the world wasn't so bad if he could look at her. She was hardened, not much of a talker. Not like he was, and yet.. He could not stop trying to get the girl to smile. The two unlikely survivors find solace in each other.. eventually.
