An Assassins Love

Marinette is the daughter of Lady Cheng, the only assassin to ever beat Lady Shiva. She was trained relentlessly, ruthlessly, past the limits that would have been set for another assassin her age. No she was trained to be the ultimate assassin and to do that, she had to be pushed to her limits.

The attack of Deathstroke put a dent in those plans though. Marinette went to Paris with her mother and there she had to put on a facade. She was bubbly, sweet, innocent, little girl who could never hurt anything. Of course, we all know that is a lie.

Even when Lila came, she had to keep up her facade. The only thing keeping her from breaking it was her loyalty to the League, and her want to go back and train, kill, and be what she was raised to be, an Assassin. Then the time comes when she can drop it.

Talia Al Ghul comes back for her, wanting to continue her training and renew her loyalty to the League. Prove that she is still Lady Shadow, Lady Night, Black Ghost. Her many names. Her facade crumbles and she is an assassin again. Her training never left and her first loyalty will always be the League.

Until Talia gives her a mission: Go to Gotham. Keep track of Damian.

Easy right? Nope. Damian remembers Lady Shadow. He remembers how deadly she was, how elusive she was. He knows she's here on a mission and makes it his to find out why she is in Gotham. And it becomes harder for Marinette, as she catches feelings for Damian.

Her loyalty to the League is tested when Talia betroths her to Damian, and Damian disconnects and becomes detached from everything.

Will she help the man she loves or will she stay loyal to the League and let him die?
