The Rot

In Russia, a virus was created in the 1960s--a virus that would strengthen men and make them effective super soldiers. Unfortunately, it turned them into either cold, over-powered killers, murderers, with a hunger for blood, or rotting, mindless beasts with a never-ceasing desire for blood.

When the world has come to war, and Europe has become infected, it's up to one young woman and her shadow to stop the onslaught not by the mindless, who had been exterminated, but by the rot-infested soldiers that were determined to spread across the world and conquer.

The woman? Bella O'Brien, former head of the CIA and assassin-turned-presidential guardian.

The shadow? Benni O'Brien, the woman who took over the family business of killing for profit.

But everything is not quite as it seems among the ranks of fugitives trekking north.
