Nari Baek - Journalism major with impaired hearing can never seem to stay off the ice, but when she isn't on the ice, she either has her nose buried in a book or she's working at the local book store.

Whisper's around campus of an underground club becomes a potential story for Nari, a story that will land her an internship at Chicago Post. She intends to pursue this story, but every lead sends Nari to one man, the campus hockey star.

Achilles Iraklidis - Centermen of the Chicago Hart University hockey team. Achilles - or Ira when he's on the ice and Ace when he's in the ring - is a silly, protective brother who absolutely cannot stay out of a fight.

Achilles lives a double life, one as the campus hockey legend and the other as an illegal underground fighter. He's found a balance between both of these lives, and has been living it for years. Things take a turn when some random deaf girl on campus discovers his secret...
