Book One of The Blood Rose saga
Rozelyn was an orphan since she was seven years old. She grew up under the foster care of her stepmother, Romaine. When her father was still alive, he used to tell her about a legendary rose-native only to the lands of Tanzania-that can grant immortality and invincibility to anyone who comes in contact with it. All she knew that the mythical flower was just a bedtime story-until she turns eighteen.
Rozelyn then realized that her father's tragic demise was not just an accident, but a blood payment as well. And the very gifts of the Blood Rose-formally known as the Ambrosia-flows through her own veins and sinews.
Now, at the age of eighteen, Rozelyn is deemed as an immortal. In her initial days as a Blood Rose Lady, Rozelyn eventually found out that some things have a price that must be paid continuously. In short, her immortality was not just a gift. It is also an eternal curse-the curse to consume other creatures' life. A curse of being a vampire.
As a college freshman, Rozelyn will soon be facing battles within herself and those around her. As more friendships are formed, more enemies are attracted. And Rozelyn may or may not only be the Devourer of Souls, but also the Destroyer of Worlds.
Amidst of all of these, only one thing is certain: Blood is always thicker than water-either literally or figuratively.
