Sidney was Sixteen from the Hawkins Lab, raised from a young age by Brenner to serve a greater purpose, Sidney was sick of her imprisonment and hated humanity for the toxic society they were it wasn't until she met people who showed her compassion, and ended up protecting humanity from an interdimensional God, saving the humanity she once hated.
