"How do you feel right now?" Nne asked holding my hand.

I was silent,I couldn't explain how I felt. I just couldn't find the right words to explain my feelings. She cupped my face with her two hands and said "it's okay Nnene, take your time." She took her shaky and wrinkled hands off my face and smiled at me. I started wondering how a wrinkled hand could be so tender.
"Remember to tell me exactly how you feel when you find the right words, okay?"

Immediately, I saw a painting on the wall and I pinned my eyes on it. "Nne, I think I know how I feel now." I removed my eyes from the painting and looked at her "I feel like I'm DROWNING."

BOOK #1 in The Fire series TRIGGER WARNING IN SOME CHAPTERS He leans closer, keeping me pinned against the wall with his hands on either side of my head. I glanced at both of them before holding his glare with my own. He was giving me a cold stare, caging me in like an animal. I bit my lip, trying to hold it back. I was never good in situations like these. He stopped leaning forward when his face was just inches from mine. He was trying to make me uncomfortable. Trying to scare me, but he didn't. I wasn't scared of him. I didn't hide my face or get nervous... I just bit my lip harder, trying to hold it in. It would just make things worse for me, I bet. He kept his eyes on mine as I glanced at his friend behind him with his arms crossed and a bored expression on his face. I looked back at the man in front of me. "You shouldn't act that way around me." He says coldly. "I can have you dead right-" I couldn't hold it in. I started laughing. He leans back, shocked, but his face goes into a glare as soon as his friend behind him perks up, watching, interested now. I calm down a little. "I'm sorry." I say, catching my breath. "Continue, Continue." He watched me closely before leaning closer to me again. "I can have you killed-" Suddenly, I lost it again, laughing harder, bending a little to hold my stomach. He punched the wall in an effort to scare me but instead made me laugh even harder, falling to the ground and rolling on my side. Soon I had his friend laughing with me as the man in front of me glared at both of us. "Don't give me that look. She's the one who started laughing." His friend said, wheezing a little bit and trying to stop laughing. I calmed down a bit, standing up to face them, a smile on my face. "Now, if you're done threatening me," I raise an eyebrow. "Or at least trying to. I'll be on my way." With that, I grabbed my backpack, turned my back to them, and walked away.

CRINGE WARNING! First book I ever wrote on here!! -- "Sometimes the person who you are willing to take a bullet for is the person behind the gun." I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. Sometimes you don't need to be the smartest, or the fastest, but you do need to be wisest. They say the blood runs deeper than water, and I believe it, because even though the people that we love can turn on us and begin to hate us, they are only human, meaning that soon they will begin to see how short life really is and how it is not to be wasted. People who seem perfect and they look like they have no floors'; they are the people who are suffering, like I was. But I found my savior in the most uncommon place. He was able to look through my mask, he saw the cracks, and tried to fix the broken girl that hid away deep inside the girl who only wanted to be seen as 'fine'. I slowly began to find comfort and safety in him, and I did the same to him. We were two broken people becoming whole. Someone once said when you pass, if you can count your true friends on one hand you are beyond lucky, and I even though I did not like the person that lay before me, I know that he once had true friends, including me. I'm a 17 year old girl who has suffered more than any other, beginning to believe that 'Hope' was just another word the people throw around. Until I fell in love with a badboy. "Sh..." he murmured, stroking her hair. She nuzzled her face into his hand, eyes closing in bliss from the simple contact. "You've been a very bad girl, haven't you?" She nodded immediately. His hands stilled, and her eyes popped open. "Yes, sir. I'm sorry, sir," she whispered. A tear slid out of her eye. "Oh sweetheart." He moved forward, wrapping her in his arms. He dropped his face to the top of her head. "We're going to make this right-we're going to make it all better." (This is a bdsm story with real characters and a real plot. Feel free to squirm at hot and heavy scenes, but at its core, this is a story of redemption. Of real people coming together in love and community. *Warning* There are themes of abuse here as well as sexual situations. I will say that the main relationship is not abusive. This story does not glorify abusive relationships or sexualize them. The bdsm elements are entirely SSC (safe, sane, and consensual) RACK, PRICK, etc.)
