This is a story, about a ten-year-old boy called Cree, who was raised by a family of dragons. His heart is set on staying with his dragon family, but a band of pirates have captured his best friend Wilder.
Can Cree rescue his friend and convince his family that he can survive in the wild without wings, or will they send him back to the Viking village where they found him?

Together all of them ventured out to help and to test their friendship and love for each other and how much they can sacrifice for each other.
