A god of death, better yet a Shinigami, can kill any person; provided they see their victim's name and face. Their job is to write their victim's name in a notebook called a Death Note. So, one lone Shinigami drops his into the earthly realm, out of boredom.

Light, a high-school student, stumbles across this notebook. Viewing this as his chance to bring his divine judgment into the world. He tries to obtain his goal of becoming the God of the new world.

And Y/N, a second-year student attending To-Oh. She goes through her days balancing working under the NPA and college. Trying to just graduate to move on to helping people in the community full time. That is until Kira begins to rise in popularity. Only for her to be grouped into the Kira investigation, alongside most of the police force.

Now working with the Kira Task Force and alongside the secretive detective, L. The group try to play their cards right to catch this criminal just out of their grasp.

Will they be able to apprehend Kira and bring him to justice? Possibly even save others along the way to equity?

Or will it be more intricate than just that..?
