The Untamed/Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation/Mo Dao Zu Shi fanfiction
What if Jiang Cheng had chosen to support Wen Qing, the Wen clan remnants, and most importantly, Wei Wuxian? Follows CQL/Untamed canon, with some scenes being taken from the book as well. Canon Divergence from Episode 20.

I really shipped Jiang Cheng and Wen Qing hard in the web series, even knowing that there was zero chance of them ending up together. I also agreed with Jin Guangyao's "the reason you suck speech" to Jiang Cheng at the end of the story. This is my "what if" scenario in getting the two together. I will have scenes that are taken directly from the series, with the translations from the subtitles on Netflix. Wei Ying was thrown into the burial mounds by Wen Chao, he found Went Ning and together they managed to survive. When he got out, the war at nightless city was still going on, but with Wei Ying they managed to defeat the Wen's but ended up being exhausted at the end of the fight. Lan Zhan got worried over him because of the amount of resentful energy that Wei Ying held and ultimately decided to take him to cloud recesses. Wei Ying grew inseparable from Lan Zhan and always got tense when he was alone, he only felt safe around Lan Zhan, and it confused him because he had two amazing siblings and Lan Xichen was also extremely kind and on some level he did also feel safe with them but he never felt fully safe until he was with Lan Zhan. Lan Zhan on the other hand always tried his best to make Wei Ying feel safe and talk to him about how he was feeling, which always seemed to help the younger. The two had gotten to a point where they would spend every day and night together, becoming inseparable from each other, and that's when they both realized that they had feelings for each other. After a week of screaming upon waking up, he finally accepted in despair that he was not dreaming, and he was in MDSZ novel universe (or is it?). He determined to not die like Wei Wuxian, prevent tragedies and change the future. The first time Lan Wangji met Wei Wuxian, they fought on the roof. When he dreamed of the cliff scene and felt the sorrow and regret of losing someone he loved while watching helplessly at the falling figure, it plagued his mind greatly. He became even more disturbed when he noticed Wei Ying's changes. The two became close. Really close. Together, they planned to save the world and while they were doing just that...
