In the cold mist of a dark spring night, a rock troll named Granite stumbles upon a lone egg. After searching and searching for the parents, she resigns to taking care of the baby and raising them as her own.
Lavender's life started out in a place where only despair was known. She had no hope of a good future and neither did her friends. But once the tensions rise in the village, there is only one thing left to do if they all want to be safe: leave.
