Bucky Barnes has an identical twin brother that no one, including himself, knew existed. The twin was taken at birth and raised by HYDRA to be their greatest assassin, that is, until Bucky came along and proved to be better. HYDRA kept the twin on ice as backup in case anything happened to Bucky and to further their Winter Soldier program research. When Bucky escapes after the failed attempt to take out Steve Rogers and SHIELD, HYDRA activates the other Barnes and sends him after their greatest asset. A former SHIELD agent sets out on their own mission after the fall of the agency, determined to find peace after seeing the Winter Soldier in the flesh.
