"I look over and see a gorgeous girl step out. She has shoulder length brown hair that's slightly wavy with a side part and a braid on the left side going across her forehead. She is wearing a cold shoulder dress that ends higher in the front than the back and she has black wedges, probably three inches high. I have to force myself to stop staring when she turns back and looks at me, but I probably have an obvious blush."

Skyla hates reality. Everything about it causes pain, both physically and mentally, especially being forced to go to church on Sundays. That is, until Emery moves in to Skyla's tiny town one day. The two of them become close, quickly. Some would even suggest they are a little too close. At least, that's what their classmates whisper about.
In a small Texas town, how will a secret love play out? Will they prevail or is something darker in store?

Nixon is the 3rd book in the Broken Series. (Ryan is the 1st, Brynn is the 2nd) Nixon leaves rehab early because he can't deal with being there anymore. His sister Kelis finds someone in need of a roommate so he moves in with the girl and gives her his middle name, Lucas. He quickly becomes addicted to the girl and once he gets one taste he's done for. He warns her about his past, about his name, but she ignores all the red flags, not realizing exactly how intertwined she is with the people from his past. He becomes enamored with her, feels like she was made for him while still battling the demons of his past and soon it all becomes too much for him to handle. He makes a heartbreaking decision, thinking it's what's best for both of them and everything changes.
