This is my story of falling in love, dealing with a roller coaster of emotions while caring for my husband through his illness, his passing, and living with my grief. Knowing the outcome, it was his choice to not receive a heart transplant. I was angry, until I woke up one day and realized that the only thing that I could do was stand by his side and make his life as comfortable as possible, while making memories for our son.

When I think of the time we spent together, it comes back in a kaleidoscope of dreams; swirling around my head with no attempt of peace. If I think of them too long, I get dizzy, wondering where we went wrong in life to land us here.

This collection of poems, short stories and experiences will leave you either emotional or nodding your head in agreement. Created to mend a broken heart, this piece was designed to help anyone out there who is either feeling alone or going through a tough heartbreak. Things will get better, hopefully this will help.
