Will Waters was once married to the love of his life. They dreamed of having a family of their own one day. Lost to cancer, now Will is putting the pieces of his life back together in the only way he knows how: by chasing the dreams he build with his wife of becoming a parent. Will joints the Big Brothers and Sisters Club, and is matched with a sullen, angry young boy by the name of Tyrell Washburn. Weeks turn into months, but a firm friendship is created. And a spark in Will's heart tells him that he is meant to be more than Tyrell's mentor.

Unbeknownst to the pre-teen, Will enters into the foster-to-adopt program, in order to fulfill his own dream, and to give Tyrell hope, a foundation, and a forever home. Bringing Tyrell Home is the story of how Will Waters becomes Tyrell's dad, and the myriad of colorful characters it takes to make that dream a reality.

Katelyn has been in and out of the foster system since her mother died when she was young. After her father gets put in jail again, she gets sent to live with the Thomas family. The Thomas's are a very well-off family with four boys. Their house is usually the main hangout for the boys and their friends. Kate hasn't ever lived with siblings before, let alone this many boys, so it's a big change for her. Daniel is your typical high school football player; he's got the looks, the muscles, talent, and even the overbearing dad who wants him to go pro. Daniel, however, really couldn't care less about a career in football, he loves the game, but it's his dad's dream for him to go pro, not his own. At least not anymore. He spends most of his free time away from his house and hanging out at either the Thomas or the Copperfield house. He can't wait to go off to college with his friends and get away from his dad and the stupid little town he grew up in. How will things change for them over the next year? This will be a series of 4, but the other books will be spin-offs and can be read as stand-alone books. They will, however, be published in chronological order. Full warning, this book is much shorter than I intend on making the spin-offs. I was planning on writing book two as the first in the series but found myself needing more of a prequel to all three other books, and so I chose to write something from their high school years. Bonus points for giving Daniel a love interest that was more than just a name.

(Book 1 of 7) *complete* I fell for Alberta Anderson when I was a teenager, she was my childhood best friend. It was a slow and steep descent into an all-encompassing love. To be Allies favourite person in the world, and yet to yearn for more...to dare to yearn for more. It was torturous, and before I would ever get to confess it, another came along who dared to be braver than me and fell in love with her and all that she was too, my older brother Ben. Ben was sensible enough to propose and claim her for eternity with a band of gold and a seal in our temple, all at the tender age of eighteen. Our church, you know that infamous one in Utah? Yeah that one. Their wedding day would mark the day I left Utah, the church and my family, the month I announced I was gay and was sent away... there was no room for gay here...and in turn no room for me. Allie wouldn't understand, my absence, or my silence...and five years would pass...painfully for us both. Allie had a child, I went to college, feelings got left buried, but thoughts were daily, and she never left my mind...not for a day, and what I didn't know was that she was in that same place...lost and waiting for me to return. And I would return... one christmas five years later... and with me every feeling and emotion resurrected. Our teens were only the beginning because the journey to Alberta was about to span through our twenties and into our thirties. A journey home. *** Willa Jameson. When I hear that name in church one Sunday afternoon, it is five years later, five years I've not seen her but the name stirs a pain inside of me still. My life starts and ends with Willa Jameson and she has no idea. Mature content marked in chapters with a * *Completed March 2022. Jet Wesley learned early on in life that family doesn't always imply unconditional love and happily ever afters. He well and truly received a thorough education in the art of emotionally detached, addicted parents and brothers with few priorities in life apart from where to get their next fix. After spending his early teenage life getting himself into similar trouble to that of his parents and older brothers, Jet was welcomed in with open arms by a completely different type of family, one which saw a young and vibrant couple more determined than ever to teach him a whole new understanding of what it means to genuinely love and care about someone so much that it completely changes the course of your life. Still, at not quite eighteen, Jet can't shake the lingering connections to his biological family, who seem hell bent on reminding him of who he used to be and where he came from, despite all the effort he has dedicated to making positive choices for himself, his family and friends. When Jet learns that both his older brothers have been arrested for drug possession, driving under the influence and assault of a police officer, Jet has to fight to regain control of the life he has created with Ruben, Sadie and their son Madden, just as much as he needs to continue growing into the type of son, brother, friend and partner he can truly be proud of.
