Motherless from ten, and luckless from birth, it's safe to say that Shirley Devine has seen and experienced enough trouble in her relatively short stint in this mortal coil.
Despite trying her best, trouble always follows her, and it's not gonna be getting any better for a good long while because she suddenly has not one, but two mouths to feed in the form of her teenage sibling, the hard-to-perceive Amanet Devine, and a strange visitor.
Whatever higher power exists out there is definitely having a good laugh at her expense.
