Nina Mary Ashford is a 15 year old girl, raised up by 11 different foster homes searching for her parents in hopes that one day they will end up happily ever after. But the current foster home she`s at she gets beat daily and when she goes to school all the kids bully her for not having brand new clothes and ratty hair. No where is a safe haven except the local library where she can run off to another world in a book away from all the pain. Its there in that library where she meets 18 year old Wesley Michael Crow a senior at her high school who lives with his drug-addict mother and two younger siblings, who as well keeps himself away from reality with the help of writing poetry and songs.
