In a world full of monsters, demons, legends and myths, the choice of life or death comes to us everyday. Some choose to accept defeat, while others find the courage to go on. Most, though, look on towards the Academies, places of education that produce children capable of killing the creatures that go boo in the night. Perhaps one of the most famous is H.E.R.O Academy...

A boy with a family history that nearly threatens his life, a witch and a girl who can control fire. A Conducter, a Hunter and an Inventor.

The son of Lord Death, his pet bird, an idiot with super strength and a demon. What happens when these ten (including the bird) meet and join into a team at one of the most famous Academies, amidst a world of danger and an ever-nearing threat?

This year at H.E.R.O. is about to get a lot more exciting!

Five Star Reviews for Atlantis Academy: "Omg this book was amazing I couldn't put it down or stop reading. I carried it with me open on my phone while I did everything just to keep reading. I need more of all of this. Epic story, epic content, epic visuals, just epic. LOVE THIS!" "Once I got into this story, I did not stop reading it. This is a beautiful story about a very awkward girl who is riven with so much pain and angst and yet... this makes her who she is and shapes her into the person she will become. The world she finds herself awakened to is magical and yet filled with the all-too-familiar cliques and tribes of the very human people who inhabit it. One word to describe the story: beautiful!" "The story pulls you headlong to the end and leaves you wanting to shout "No! Not yet!" ...If there were 6 stars, I would have given it that." *** Humanity is one secret society away from extinction. The children of Atlantis use magic to keep us safe. If they make it through the Academy. Hi, I'm Lyric. And I'm kind of a mess. ADHD, that's me. I'm a high school drop-out, late everywhere I go, and one screw-up away from being homeless. I'm a loner, and I like it that way. Who needs friends when you have a Redwood forest nearby? Trees never bully me like the kids did at school. Or get drunk and throw things at my head. After my mom died, I figured life couldn't get much worse. I thought it might even get better. Ha. The universe has a great sense of humor. I should've listened to the rumors about evil spirits. About the angry, ancient magical creatures haunting our small Oregon Coast town. But did I? No. That was my first mistake. And it might be my last. 'Cause now I'm in a battle for my life. A whole new world has opened up... a magical world I don't understand. And the blood in my veins says I belong here. But I have to prove myself to save myself. And when have I ever done that?

Myths. Gods. Humans. These races are widely known for being the pieces that make up Mythology; however, one race has been lost to the recesses of time. Mythians. The forgotten race of peacemakers born to protect the world from war and chaos. Well that's what they told me in class anyway, but I'm getting ahead of myself. Life before Mr. Gale's Mythian Academy was simple: I only ever worried about what I was going to eat for dinner, what book I was going to read next, or whether my siblings would be able to make it through high school after me, but now life's gotten a lot more complicated because before hurling me down a hole, Alice would be jealous of, my headmaster gave me this letter explaining the unbelieveable truth. ⁓⁓⁓ To my dear First Years, The artifact stolen from the Academy is essential for the continuation of our existence. As you continue in your studies at the Academy, if you are successful, you will come to understand what all of this means, but for now, you three are our best chance to retrieve it. I plead with you: do not lose your sense of self and try hard to work together to achieve your final goal. I suggest working together no matter how different your personalities may be. Teamwork will be your salvation. Your Teacher, Mr. Gale P.S. If you're ever lost just check the map. It will guide you throughout your journey. Oh and you must know, every myth that has ever had you in awe, every being that has ever frightened you, and everything you dream of truly exists. Goodluck.

My eyes finally adjusted and I got a good look at the guy. Holy shit, he was HOT. He rivaled Lazarus, and that's saying a lot. He might even be more attractive than Elridge, wait no, I wasn't so sure about that one. Anyway, he had blonde wavy hair, milky skin that was clear from any imperfection, and he was tall. He was wearing a black long sleeved shirt that was fitted so you could see his muscles. There was something off about him though. Oh, I know what it was. His eyes were bright purple. Then he blinked and they were sky blue. What the...? Maybe it was just a trick of the light. ----- Elizabeth Huntress is only second in line for the crown for her country, but she wants to be queen bad.
