Kaniyah lost her mom when she was 7 years old. Growing up in and out of foster care homes was not only hard but a life lesson. Running away with her best friend Cara for the last time at the age of 17 they both get a job working as a waitresses saving up enough so the two can get a apartment. One night while leaving work Kaniyah gets mugged on her way to the subway causing her to become so frightened she glows scaring the man away. The next day she's all over the news and more people are coming out of the shadows about their glowing skin. Why does her skin glow? Only one person knows,Colton. Her brother whom she thought was dead pops up from college with his best friend Colton both studying in human mysteries. Will they be able to figure out where this gene came from,how its activated and from which of her parents she got it from before the government comes for them?or will love take its course and kill them all?
