Meditations of an Indian Girl

Meditations of an Indian Girl, Chuchki, on her experiences and adventures with a Seal Hunter, Libroterros Boticelli, who snatched her away by force from her tribe. Through her adventures around the world, from the russian coast to the Northwest Territories, she learns about different faiths, values, customs, philosophies, ways of life, themes of life, loneliness, the pursuit of wealth, meaning, and gains a wisdom she thought was reserved for older men. Along the way, she meets an younger Indian Boy who becomes an older brother to her, and joins her and Libroterros on their adventures around the world. Coyote was a well travelled young man who was literate, talented, and had a deep love for dogs, especially the dogs he owned over the years. He turns back when they trek in search of gold in the Northwest because he cares not for any material wealth he can gain in this world, for he was a pious Muslim, he accepted Islam during his travels in Egypt, and to him all he needed were good deeds and to see the wide world before he dies. Libroterros Boticelli dies as they trek the Northwest Territories in search of the gold and Chuchki is left alone, as she planned it ever since she saw Libroterros betray her by sharing their bed with another woman, to die a few days later under a lone spruce tree in the middle of the vast field of snow. She becomes one of the few Indian women who go beyond their small, simple, village life and go on to amass great wisdom and experience. Coyote becomes a teacher and, at 130, all the children from his school, who are now adults, along with his own children, gather round his deathbed to hear one final lesson of life. That lesson is to love learning and pursue it wherever it goes and to love God and to be sure to Him they will have their forever abode.
