The last thing Kokichi remembers was the searing agony of the press slowly descending upon his body, sealing his fate and eventually killing him. He had died a painful and slow death, he remembers. But he was supposed to be dead, so why was he able to remember in the first place?

The 53rd season of Danganronpa had been a massive success. One of the most well received seasons, with a huge fan following. Unfortunately for the participants, they were not aware of it having been a virtual reality simulation.

Kokichi was awake. Awake, but more importantly, alive. He does not want to have to make amends with his 'classmates'; he had been ready to die under that press to stop the killing game. He especially does not want to face a certain dark haired detective.
