I wake up slowly, my head throbs as my eyes do their best to focus on my surroundings. My body shivers as a lie in a curled up ball on the dusty ground. My body is rigid, tensed up and my muscles feel like they will snap if I move. But the air is hot and my skin completely smothering in a heavy layer of grime and sweat.

To say that the Gladers were extremely confused once they realized who was sent up in the lift this time, was a complete exaggeration. The gladers disregarded any suspicions with your arrival, as they thought you were just another mouth to feed. After all, YOU were only the 2nd girl to be delivered into the Glade. Much like everyone else, you were just as confused and lost. With no memory before waking up in that box, the only clue to all this chaos was a vague writing in your arm, no knowledge who wrote it and what it exactly meant.
