Celene Rivloc is a Traverseer, or Bridge, an individual born with senses that span both the material and immaterial worlds. In the rigidly regulated and highly stratified society of Brightisle, She lives hidden in plain sight as an archive page until being ripped from her cocoon of obscurity by a powerful benefactor to act as one of his secret operatives.

Under a socially disastrous and all too public pretense, she is "exiled" to a distant land, the opposite of home in every sense, where primal, unsanctioned Craft flourishes in the shadows, and nature fights human settlement with unrelenting ferocity.
Her assignment is vague: something extraordinary is about to happen in this unforgiving place and utilizing her abilities, she must act as her employer's eyes, ears and, when the time comes, hands.

Thing is, Celene's tight control over those suppressed abilities, long assisted by BrightIsle's dampening wards, drastically begins to slip away, and the world revealed by them is far, far more dangerous than she ever imagined.

Sin locks himself away in an asylum and, every so often, badboy he's believed to be, gets violent. That's only so they'll give him those nice drugs, though. The ones that help him forget. It's a pity they don't work. Sin, you see, has a serious problem. Well, it's not so much his problem, as ours - yours, mine and everyone else's. People die around Sin.
