Two years have passed since Mikael Anik and Estelle Marzena survived the Illyrian Blood Rite and were mated. They've finally settled into their new life together, back in the Dawn Court. However, the peace they've known thus far is almost at an end. For months, Estelle has suffered nightmares of the events that took place on Ramiel, and they are growing worse with each day that her questions remain unanswered. 

It is time for the mystery to be unraveled, but what will it cost to do so? There is more at stake now than either of them could have imagined. Are they facing an isolated threat, or is it possible that some ancient foe lurks within Prythian's borders, waiting for her chance to strike?
