when 16 year old Peyton woods wakes up from her deep sleep, she is terrorized by her surroundings. She finds herself inside a large dome along with a few other people that seem to be around her age and two men. The two men say that they are there to help them out on the long and treacherous journey ahead. Can they be trusted? As she gets to know the other 16 and 17 year olds, she knows that they must find a way out but the only way to do that is to undergo a series of dangerous tests in which some people may die. Will 16 year old, Peyton Woods survive the test, or will she meet the people who were last experimented ons fate in which only two people survived. A boy and a girl. They call the dome "The Lithosphere" because it is completely cut off from the outside world. Find out what happens next by reading this book.

This provides backstory and sets the foundation for the characters and their relationships.
