Last Chance

Riley is at yet another foster home, and it's starting to hit her that she really is all alone in this world. However, this foster family is like none she's ever experienced. There's Mona, the mom who seems to have it all but really doesn't. Her husband who barely acts as if Riley exists. And then there's the sons. The Baker boys are legends at Riverdale High, and it's just Riley's luck she's forced to live with them. She's managed to fly under the radar this far in her life, but it's proving to be a little more difficult with her current living situation. Jackson Baker, the oldest, and the reason the school worships them. Trey, the charmer, the easy-going guy that seems to be an actual 'friend' to Riley. And Jasper, who's in Riley's grade but that's as far as their interactions have gone.

Living with the Baker family is different than Riley could possibly imagine. On the surface, their lives look like they could be in a magazine. But as Riley starts learning more about the family, she learns things aren't as perfect as they seem. Every family has their issues, and Riley is shoved right in the middle of everything. As she tries to work out her relationships with each family member and navigate the tricky family dynamics, she finds herself genuinely getting to know these people that she only previously thought of as legends. And she realizes they might be just as messed up as she is. Each brother could be an escape, a friend, or a wild spiral downward. And she's on her own.
