When she was a child, Alexandria Rodgers was captured and experimented on by HYDRA. And it changed her for the rest of her life. 

Although she had the same abilities as her father, Alexandria was always so harshly compared to him. And she knew it was because she was a woman.

Throughout her life, she always tried to prove herself against all the sexist criticisms. But after loosing everything she cared about - she began to realize everything she fought for was for nothing. Until she found someone to live for.
