This is a magical realism story I wrote for a competition in my English class last year. It won so I thought 'Maybe it's good enough to put on here.' Anyway, it's about a young girl trying to reconnect with her mother who has long since stopped believe in the magic children posses.

Hope Is all I Need

This is my life no one can change that. I'm just a girl who gave up on a dream. So I could just be a mom. Something I never had as a kid. As i got older I found out the truth. Then all the lies came out of the dark, and into the light. Ok so I wrote this when I was like 13. I'm now 21 and decided to rewrite it. I hope you all like it. -Kayla🐢
