The Atonement of a Writer
Lilianne Marineau, aka Lili, a struggling writer like you and me, wakes up to find herself in the body of Arielle Dumont, the female protagonist in her own, half-written novel. What would happen next? She sure as hell doesn't know. At first, all Lili wants to do is survive, and is overcome with the feeling that she had been bound by chains of her own making. Soon enough, though, she realizes she had been atoning for the wrong thing--and maybe, just maybe it was not her fault. A story of a writer who has to live as a character in a world she hasn't quite fully developed yet. A terrible writer with terrible concepts of magic in a fantasy world--and yes, there are glitches. TW: anxiety/depression/existential crisis esp in the earlier chapters, but quite mild, nothing we all haven't experienced before (I think anyone would reasonably panic in MC's situation). Lost at the Start
Luna knows when she wakes up something isn't right. Despite not remembering anything from her last day alive, she knows she's supposed to be dead; That she is dead. So why am I still here? Watching the reactions of those she left behind, she gets some answers, but she still doesn't know why she isn't Resting In Peace. She's know there has to be a reason, and she desperately wants to find out what, so she can get to Being Dead like she's supposed to. Even if it takes a while. Even if she still can't move on when she does. Oh, and she has to figure out how this whole "being dead" thing works by herself. Great. And the longer she stays dead, full of questions she can't answer, Luna's already shattered and tiny world starts to close in on her.
