Daniel Malik, the craziest Pokémon trainer in the Kokoman region. The region is meant to train dark type Pokémon, and yet there are fairy and ice types living in the region. Daniel's goal is to find and capture a legendary or mythical Pokémon to be his own.

Alex Wallskyper is the friend of this reckless trainer. Fused with Pokémon, this kid resembles the Pokémon Rustjaw. His Pokémon are Umbreon, Lycanroc, Darkifly, and a shiny Marshadow named Arsenal. Arsenal is a family generated Pokémon that was given to Alex as a gift on his 6th birthday. He went on to become a true trainer and caught these different Pokémon.

Arsenal is treasured and loved by Alex, but that never stops Arsenal from helping Daniel as well.

When the boys visit the Galarian region, they are met by Ash and Goh and are welcome to the lab. Goh's Suicune returns for a visit with a new friend, an unknown Pokémon. Since it was new, Daniel was determined to try and train it for it has never been seen before.
