Ablaze

When Wren's town is mysteriously burnt down she is the only one that escapes. Or that's what she thought.

Maybe I was the only one. The thought kept racing through my mind over and over again. I couldn't have been. At least 400 people lived in our town. They couldn't have all burned? The overwhelming guilt came over me to the point we here I couldn't stand. I cant believe I left her, left them all. And then for the first time since I left, I cried.
