I distinctly remember you saying that in a few months I'd forget all about you. I'd move on and you'd be just a faded tattoo. You never had the high self esteem; always invested in insecurity. You couldn't possibly believe that anyone could possibly love you enough to stick around but I did. I loved you enough to wait, I loved you enough not to forget. You still haven't become just a faded tattoo. I wonder what would you do if you actually knew.

Probably nothing.

You'd probably say it wasn't real and go on with your day. Which you have every right to do and say as I have every right to still care.

But I am now me, and you are not you. Do with your life as you please. I'll do with mine that way too. In the end, I won't go out of my way to bother you, and you'll know where and how to find me.

From me to you, stranger with memories
