Half a millennia ago, the creation of the fold took half of Arya Temnova. Half her village. Half her family. Half her name. Half her body. And Arya grit her teeth and fought through. She did what she did best: She adapted.
A little more than a century later, Aleksander Morozova stumbles upon the village, washed on by the brutal waves of the Unsea. He makes the aquaintance of Arya Temnova, and they form a unique relationship that lasts multiple lifetimes.
Close to four centuries later Arya Temnova has an impressive network of aquaintances, friends and spies reaching from Ketterdam to Fjerda, from the True Sea to the Royal Palace, from Ravka to Novyi Zem, from Shu Han to the Bone road and from the depths of the fold to the rest of the world.
When the Sun Summoner is found Arya heads out to gauge the threat and intertwines herself with a story that promises to be grand.
But choosing a side in a war is hard if you adapt to everything anyways.

All Things Must End
A year after Alina Starkov tears down the Shadow Fold, she is finally able to settle into her peaceful life. There is no more war with Ravka. The Darkling, once her enemy, is now a loyal, protective husband, and a father to their adoptive daughter, Amelia. But all things must end. The Sun Summoner learns that a time of peace can become a time of chaos and upheaval in the blink of an eye. As quickly as one war ends, another can emerge. Alina must protect her country as Queen while making sure that the Darkling doesn't revert to his old villainous self, or else all they have built will come crashing down. Behind him, a monster ten feet tall, made of shadow, forms in a menacing stance, ready to carry out his silent orders. I thought I had seen the last of his nichevo'ya a long time ago when we were on opposing sides of the war. I shake my head. "No. No, what are you doing? Wait!" I send the Cut barrelling at the monster. It dissociates into nothing only for another one to take its place. Again, I send the Cut through the abomination, but it was only a diversion. Another one forms behind me, capturing my arms to prevent me from summoning. It holds me above the ground. I kick and scream, but it covers my mouth with its long, slender arm, the other holding me securely to its chest. My breath is labored as I use all of my strength to fight it. It is futile. The Darkling approaches me, stroking his fingers across my cheek as a way to comfort me. It is hard, however, to comfort someone if you are the cause of the distress. He pushes off from his chair and I shiver in my seat as he pauses by my side. The Darkling's hands find my chin and he holds my head tenderly with both hands. My power sparks at his touch like fire to kindling and I have to clench a hand in my dress skirt to keep control. He makes sure my gaze is entirely on him when he says, "And you know you will." I shake underneath the pressure of his words and he strokes my chin to calm me. Fine, but he has no idea what he is asking for. I shall be a queen, but not his. As a whirlwind of events sets her right back on square one, Alina makes a vital decision to change everything. They both soon realise how dangerous he is and when Nathaly meets Alina, she and Genya immediately join her army to end the madness of the Black heretic once and for all. Back in the Little Palace after the war, it's hard for her to fit in. After she refuses to join Genya, David and Zoya in the truimvirate because of her unusual powers, her life among the other grisha just isn't what it used to be.
