Above All Else

"You are only confined by the walls you build yourself. Push yourself because no one else will do it for you!" Katsuki has lived by this since he was told he wouldn't develop a quirk. He dreams of becoming the number one hero and won't let anyone or his quirkless nature bring him down.

When Bakugou Katsuki was four, he dreamed of becoming a hero with his friend Midoriya Izuku, but that dream was shattered the day he was deemed quirkless. In a world full of superpowered individuals, being quirkless meant you were worthless, the bottom of the rung, and there was no way he would become a hero. When his friend, Izuku, develops a powerful quirk, things change between them. Izuku starts treating him as if he were something fragile to protect. But he still has hope that one day he'll become a hero, and a chance encounter with the number one hero, All Might, gives him the chance that he's been waiting for. Now he has the chance to be in the spotlight and prove to everyone that he will rise above everyone who has ever looked down on him.
