"Look, the house its for sale again!" "See I told you it was haunted." After her Mother is transferred due to work issues, 13 year old Lilly finds herself forced to move to a old, country town, leaving her posh city friends and school behind. They move into a old abandoned mansion unaware of the shady history that surrounds it. The place is Haunted. Not liked by the other kids at her new school Lilly gets desperate to become popular again and uses the only thing she has the ability to do. Lie. She begins making up scary stories to get the attention of the other children and finds herself writing them down in an old empty book she found. But the more stories she makes up the more frightened of the house she becomes. Suddenly things change and her fears become reality.

Belle hates it and want to move back to New York. But things change when she meets Robin in school. They become friends and she realize that it wasn't a stupid idea to move. One morning a new teacher starts in their class and he's far from kind. He favors some students and give way too much homeworks. Belle get detention for no reason and she's always tired and pale when she comes home. Adam and his husband get very worried about her, but she assures them that everything is fine. At the same time there's murder in the town and it always takes place at night. His two youngest kids have nightmares at night and don't remember anything in the morning. He begins to wonder if there is any connection between the murder and the new teacher. When Belle "dies" he finds out that everything is not as it seems. -Based on Dracula.
