Where Laverne, who is devastated and in disbelief after the shock of her mother's death, thinks that there is no hope for happiness and then James ( or Harry-who even is he?) comes along.

James-with a secret identity and his own unforgiving past, who thinks so, otherwise. He takes it upon himself to prove to her, through show-not-tell, mind you, that there is, after all, a chance for happiness in the midst of sorrow.
