This story takes place in the Dragon Realm, one of many realms throughout the known universe, and two dragon eggs are about to hatch. These two dragon eggs are Spyro and Cynder both of which grew up in two different parts of the Dragon Realm. Spyro grew up in the Dragon Temple training to become the next Dragon Guardian. While Cynder grew up in the Dark Temple deep within the Shattered Mountains of Arc-kana where the Dark Dragon Lord Galventer was training her to be evil.
