For it is Dain's destiny to be Moloch, one half of a set of royal twins separated at birth, each with an equal claim to the crown of Tyrantium, the greatest kingdom in the Known World. 

But Dain has also been separately chosen by Ghulgrim the Forger, the greatest force for evil on Aerth, to recover the Black Sword, ancient heirloom of Tyrantian kings, and use its dark power to free the Evil One from his misty prison on the Princely Isle.
