Lavender Honeycutt has been a freelance copywriter for quite some time and wants to move on to bigger, better things. Especially things she can attach her name to. When her agent gives her a lead about a publisher looking for a romance novel, she rushes home to start writing but she soon finds that there is a huge difference between writing a blog post and writing an entire book. Not only that, Lavender doesn't know much about romance. She can't even remember the last time she went on a date. After exhausting ideas and having a breakdown, she goes to bed and has a wonderful dream about a mysterious person wooing her and the two share an extravagant time together. When Lavender wakes up she recalls the dream and buries her red flushed face into her pillow, but hears crinkling. When she picks up her pillow, she finds a flower made out of paper. When she unravels the paper flower, she slaps her hand over her mouth and stares in disbelief.
