Jacob Webber was a billionaire and hero of WWII in England, becoming a celebrity. His two sons, intelligent Lambert and reckless Michael, are his only heirs. When the family suffers a very public embarrassment, Lambert removed himself from the family's spotlight and raises a family away from prying eyes. Michael meanwhile has three sons by three different women. His second son, Ebenezer, is everything to him after his wife's death. When Michael kills himself due to the depression and Lambert and his wife are killed in a car accident, it leaves each son's three sons as heirs.
