Ten years ago, the first ever murder in Rose Bridge took place. Four victims attacked in their home, all evidence destroyed in a fire set by the killer. The case went cold, and no hope was seen for solving it.

Matthew King, the boy who just so happened to be else where on the night his family was murdered, is saved by an anonymous alabi.
With the investigation turning against him, and his small town fighting for him, he tries to live on dragging his saviors guilt like a ball and chain.
