Many of Natsu's habits come from Igneel, and he still keeps doing them despite the pain he felt when his father abandoned him. However, who he was and the family he had among the dragons are just as important to him as the family he's found in the guild, and he loves them all dearly... Even when they go out of their way to celebrate his birthday, a day he associates with upsetting memories.

However, a special gift from Gray simoultaneously makes things better and worse. How will he cope with finding out exactly how and why Igneel abandoned him, and the memories that come to the forefront of his mind while in the place he called "home" before Fairy Tail?
