In Search of Candice: A Dark Crime Thriller

LAPD Detective Jason Stone's detection methods are frowned upon as a throwback to old policing ways that could prevent him from achieving the promotion her hopes for. Added to this, he has issues in his personal life that threaten to send him into a downward spiral from which he might not recover, leaving him with his future on the force in jeopardy.

An undercover assignment to root out racism at a station, and which has resulted in a spate of cop killings, intervenes to rescue him. If he can get his act together, he will redeem his self. Determined to stay inside protocol, he then meets Candice, a witness to a crime, and all bets are off, when he becomes besotted with her, and their lives become inextricably linked in his investigations.

As his assignment develops, he comes up against corruption on a wide scale, and whoever is at the top of the pile wants him dead. But first they want to ruin his reputation and they will use Candice as a conduit to make this happen. If he is to survive, Stone will need all his streetwise guile to stay alive, and to get out of his predicament to bring the culprits to justice
