In the small country of Cagulin, there are warewolves, elves, mermaids, wizards, witches, vampires, and magic. It seems like a wonderful place, right? Well, all the food, running water, power, technology, and sunshine had been stolen by a country called Halityre, 20 years ago. Amanda, a 13 year old werewolf, had always been curious about what's outside of Cagulin. By being at the wrong place in the wrong time, Amanda somehow manages to escape Cagulin's borders, and enter Halityre. Disguising herself as a Halityrian, Amanda meets Maia, who falls in love with Amanda, as Maia identifies as a lesbian. Amanda has to keep her werewolf identity a secret from the most important person in her life, if anyone found out she was a werewolf, she would be executed. The Halityrians begin to suspect Amanda is from Cagulin, and Amanda has to choose between love, and survival.
